I recently started to be interested in business and start-ups, so I decided to read Peter Thiel’s ‘Zero To One’.
This book talks about how to create innovation and let your start-up grow. Thiel says that copying something that already existed brings the world from 1 to n, meaning that by doing so you can only improve what’s already been created. The most difficult step is actually going from 0 to 1: discovering something new or out of the ordinary is the most secure way to ensure a bright future for your company.
What I liked about this book is that it didn’t focus on technical economical aspects, but on general principles that are extremely useful. Also, I like how Thiel used real-life examples to explain his point of view in a more precise way. For example, he talked about his own societies, like Paypal or Palantir.
This book has been a source of inspiration in my case, making me even more determined to pursue my dreams: it shows that whoever you are or whatever you do there’s always something new you can create.
Hence, I recommend this book to literally everyone, as the spread of such a nice talk can have no boundaries.
